Barbara Krabbe received her acting training at the SCHAUSPIELSCHULE BÜHNENSTUDIO in Hamburg and at the LEE STRASBERG THEATRE & FILM INSTITUTE in New York. Before her acting training she studied dance at the FOLKWANG UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS in Essen. In Hamburg she received singing lessons from the soprano Elizabeth Parcells. Barbara has been active as an ensemble member at the ERNST DEUTSCH THEATER, the ZIMMERTHEATER and the STAATSOPER in Hamburg, among others, as well as at numerous other German theatres such as the LANDESTHEATER SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN, the STAATSOPER HANNOVER and the OPERNHAUS KIEL. In addition, Barbara Krabbe has developed into a sought-after actress for film and television over the years, which has earned her recurring roles in TATORT, other engagements in German television series and a role in Fatih Akin's novel adaptation DER GOLDENE HANDSCHUH, among others. In 2019 she received the DEUTSCHEN SCHAUSPIELPREIS in the category STARKER AUFTRITT for her performance. In 2023 Barbara will perform in STELLA at the HAMBURG CHAMBER PLAYS.
