Christopher Gerhard Wittkopp (*1990, Ludwigsburg) is an actor, theater pedagogue, and moderator for children's and youth participation processes. He found his way to theater through the youth center and the "Meet HipHop" projects of the Tanz- und Theaterwerkstatt Ludwigsburg.
In 2010, together with Kulturwelt-Ludwigsburg e.V. and the Campus-Theater-Ensemble, he was awarded the Karl-Mommer-Prize of the SPD-Ludwigsburg for civil courage and social engagement for the production "Ich knall euch ab" by Morton Rhue. He also received the City of Ludwigsburg's Prize for Special Volunteer Work for the production "Fucking Amal" by Lukas Moodysson.
Wittkopp studied Theater Pedagogy and Acting at the Theater Akademie Stuttgart. From 2014 to 2018, he toured with the Theater Kompagnie Stuttgart, performing on municipal theater stages from Cuxhaven to Lindau.
As a permanent ensemble member of the ITZ (Institut für theatrale Zukunftsforschung) at Zimmertheater Tübingen, he appeared in nine world premieres as an actor and performer from 2018 to 2020. During this time, he also developed texts and actively participated in the "Fridays For Future" movement. At Zimmertheater Tübingen, he collaborated with artists such as Johanna Luise Witt (Thalia Theater, Ernst Deutsch Theater), Anna Bauer (Theater Basel), Nicole Schneiderbauer (Staatstheater Augsburg), and Hannah Zufall (Berliner Ensemble).
Since 2018, Wittkopp has been working with integration classes in Ludwigsburg and Stuttgart. He is the founder of the independent group "Alcoholic Sunrise" centered around the band "Café 612," and, together with puppet builder and player Oliver Köhler, forms "Thekenperlen." He is also a member of Literally Peace e.V. and is currently performing at the Studio Theater Stuttgart and the Forum Theater Stuttgart, among other venues.
Since 2021, Wittkopp has served as the artistic director of the youth culture of the Staufer Festspiele Göppingen, "Come Together - Campus."
