Gabriela Burkhardt

Gabriela Burkhardt is an accomplished international, bilingual (English and German) actress and violinist. Originally from Brazil, she was raised in Germany and now resides in London, England. Gabriela began her musical journey at the age of four, studying violin and piano. Her passion for theater led her then to classical voice lessons by age ten. In addition to music, she focused on dance and gymnastics, competing at high levels.

During her time at a music boarding school, Gabriela studied violin under Professor Ernst Triner at the University of Music in Würzburg, Germany. She then shifted her focus to musical theater, studying at the Stage School in Hamburg. In 2016, she completed her drama diploma at the First Take Acting Academy in Cologne. She continued her education, earning a bachelor’s degree in media design, media education, and media psychology in 2019, equipping her with the skills to work as a performer, director, educator, scriptwriter, and filmmaker. In 2020, Gabriela started a course at the University of Music in Detmold in a field known as “Musikvermittlung.” Although there is no official English translation, it is often described as a “a field of practice in music education which bridges the gap between music performance and the listener”[1].

Gabriela has worked as an Actor-Musician on AIDA Cruises and worked for the State Theatre of Dortmund, where she directed and produced various projects. She has received multiple awards. Her film “The Case U” premiered in 2022, winning awards and igniting discussions on abuse in the industry. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Arts in Actor-Musicianship at Rose Bruford College, set to graduate in 2025.
